Use your phone's orientation sensor as a digital compass.

How to use

1. Open the tool on a sensor-equipped phone or tablet and tap Enable sensors.
2. Hold the phone flat and rotate it to read the heading and cardinal direction.
3. Move the device in a figure-eight motion if the heading drifts or appears inaccurate.

Good to know

• Compass accuracy varies by device and can be affected by magnets, metal objects and electronic equipment.
